Can we take our honeymoon now?

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

Sorry I've been M.I.A. for a week or so, but things have been quite hectic with school, work and trying to fix my increasingly broken car (poor Cooper). The good news is that after I get my muffler replaced today, hopefully nothing else will go wrong for awhile (keep your fingers crossed)!

In other news, I was checking out the Wedding Chicks blog today and found where I want to go for our honeymoon in December.

Check out Verana.

It's located in the jungle with Pacific Ocean views and what looks like an amazing spa! It's even kind of semi affordable and you stay in little open-air bungalows.
I guess I'll just have to dream about it for the next 9 months. Of course, if things keep going wrong with the car, I might be replacing it instead of any honeymoon at all.

I love you, a bushel and a peck...

Adam and I had a pretty good and relaxing Valentine's Day:

I made one of Adam's favorite kinds of cake...Banana Cake! It's not quite as good as his Grandmother's, but I like to think it comes in a close second:

Adam brought me a beautiful bouquet:

And we made dinner together tonight. We decided on linguine with clams and shrimp and it was yummy.

Sometimes it's nice just to stay at home and enjoy your Valentine instead of running off somewhere else, or going out for a fancy and expensive dinner. Today was definitely a much needed break after last weekend's birthday bonanza!

It's Been Awhile!

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Sorry I haven't posted in over a week, but it's been really busy around here. Hopefully everything will settle down now and I can get back to the grind.

Monday was my 23rd birthday, but we did most of the celebrating for it on Saturday! Saturday morning, 3 of my bridesmaids ventured down to Baltimore to look at some dresses for the wedding. Here are some that we liked (by Bill Levkoff):

Since Saturday, I have been looking at dresses online, and here are some more that I like (by Dessy):

On Saturday night, we had a group of 13 people that went out to dinner at the Melting Pot to celebrate some more! It was alot of fun, and I seeing everyone, we even had cake and ice cream back at Adam's apartment. My real birthday was on Monday and it was pretty low-key. My cubicle was decorated at work, and Adam made me taco salad for dinner. All-in-all it was a great way to start what will be a busy and exciting 23rd year. This week, I am working hard at getting out the save-the-dates for the wedding. If you want a sneak peak at the website that Adam created, you can click here and check it out.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous week and is getting ready to show the love on Valentine's Day.

My "Crappy" Day

Monday, February 2, 2009

Today, on my way home from work, a man pooped in his pants on the train. I won't even go into details about how I knew he pooped in his pants. It made me so nauseated, when the train reached the next stop, I had to run out of the car I was in and onto the next car. I can't even believe that other people stayed in the car with Mr. Poopy-Pants.

This is the story of my life.
